REDBULL PRESS RELEASE: It is with great pleasure that we announce Red Bull Singapore has signed on its second athlete, skateboarder Farris Rahman! An 18-year old who comes from our humble shores - Farris started skateboarding at the tender age of 4 and joined his first international competition when he was just 6! He is an extremely affable character and is stoked to be a part of the brand - joining just over 40 other skateboarders around the world (including the likes of Ryan Sheckler, Zered Bassett and Ryan Decenzo), as an athlete signed with Red Bull. While Farris is relatively well known in the skating scene here in Singapore, his fellow Singaporeans are still in the dark of this skater prodigy we have in our midst. Thus, it is no wonder that no one seems to know that Farris has actually won multiple competitions and is recognised as one of the TOP 50 skateboarders in the whole world. Farris placed 6th in the 2012 ‘Maloof Money Cup’ in South Africa in the mini-mega romp category and in 2011, also competed in the Asian X-Games in Shanghai, coming in at 2nd place for the Street open category , and came in 16th in the overall competition. Locally, he has dominated competitions such as the Converse City Carnage and Mettle Games.
