Panasonic GH2 SKATEBOARDING

Posted by LCS

Panasonic recently released the Lumix GH2 Micro Four Thirds camera.  Panasonic teamed up with skateboarding filmmaker Ty Evans & photographer Atiba Jefferson to make a short film for CES 2011.

GH2 SKATEBOARDING features professional skateboarders Eric Koston, Paul Rodriguez, Tony Hawk and many more.

This camera is going to be very popular with skateboarding film makers. Its 16.05 megapixel sensor shoots in Full HD 1080/24p video and outperforms the Canon 7D in terms of video quality and signal / noise. Having a touchscreen, interchangeable 3D lense and a price tag several hundred dollars cheaper than the Canon 7D makes the GH2 a very attractive buy!

Currently, the Canon 7D is popular among skateboarding and longboarding film makers but with the release of the game-changing GH2 we expect to see more filmmakers choosing Panasonic.

Because it uses the Micro Four Thirds System, it is smaller and lighter than DSLR's. Combined with its rotatable multi-angle LCD screen it means filmers can get those extreme low angles required for shooting skateboarding. High speed burst shooting at 5 frames per second in full resolution also ensures fast paced action sports can be captured with crystal clear detail. With 22 different shooting modes, superior video quality, tons of features and a truly awesome design the Panasonic GH2 just became our favourite camera.

In this behind-the-scenes video, Evans and Jefferson talk about the great features of the LUMIX GH2 and LUMIX G lenses.
